A man hanging from a parachute has been turning heads in Oslo this month as a new conceptual art installation by Svein Moxvold. A true to life model was hung in the trees above Kunstnernses Hus gallery in Oslo as part of the Norwegian government's art exhibition.

The work is about people in 'strong positions' in society (politics, religion or business). Demonstrating as soon as you're 'hanging' there, between 'heaven and hell', everyone is the same.

Complete Fabrication worked closely with artist Svein Moxvold to create this life size version, which included the fabrication of an exact copy of a face, hair and body. A tailor made suit and bags were also made by our team of talented model makers and fabricators.

The announcement of Visit London’s awards shortlist was made all the more glittering by the creation of a sparkling mirror phone box fabricated by Complete Fabrication.

Utilised in the press launch for the awards it was positioned in prime view of the London Eye.

Through the ingenuity of our craftspeople we were able to work with a light weight, transportable, life size version of the original iconic phone box and tailor it using the techniques and experience from making high quality mirror balls ("as seen in Marco Pierre White’s Titanic and Frankies restaurants":http://www.completeartanddesign.com/project/182/).

"For more information on the launch click here":http://www.visitlondonmediacentre.com/press_releases/press_release/voting_now_open_for_the_bt_visit_london_peoples_choice_awards_2009/

The world's first exhibit by a chemist at the Royal Academy of Arts since 1857 has gone on display in the courtyard of Burlington House this week.

Well-known chemical ecologist Graeme Jones, who has a national reputation for creation of giant chemical models, was set the challenge by the Royal Society of Chemistry to create the new external exhibits.

The challenging nature of the 'Carbon Rapture' project led Graeme to get in touch with Complete Fabrication to assist him. As graphite was the only form of carbon Graeme could have in large quantity the supporting structures had to be strong enough to support them and be safe for public display.

Graeme says we did ‘a superb job' (see "www.makeitmolecular.com":http://www.makeitmolecular.com). From creation to installation the CF team worked tirelessly to make and deliver the structures and with their convenient London location they were able to keep their carbon footprint to a minimum too.

You may have seen the recent TV launch campaign of the Sony Bravia featuring a giant zoetrope installation near Turin, Italy.

To commemorate the launch Complete Fabrication was commissioned to make a fully functioning miniature display version. The conscientious workmanship of our team guaranteed a superior finish to a high specification demanded by Sony.

The model is now exhibited at Sony’s head office in Weybridge. We assume the one installed in Italy may have been a bit too large to get through the front door.

City workers were in for a surprise today when they were met by a Llama in his gift box at Paternoster Square as part of the World Vision charity Must Have Gifts Christmas Appeal.

Henry the Llama's gift box home was made by the Complete Fabrication team in their London-based studios. Let's hope Santa doesn't have too much trouble fitting it on his sleigh.
