rapid prototyping service
The rapid prototyper (3D printer) can create physical models from design drawings, digital data and scans and can also be modified and scaled. The advantages of 3D printing include quick fabrication and low material cost. It also allows production of geometrically complex or intricate objects to be uncomplicated, simply managed and relatively fast.
The rapid prototyping process consists of powder bonded layer by layer with liquid adhesive to form 3D objects. The material used for printing consists of plaster powder Cyano Acrylate bonder / bonding agent. Parts produced can be easily infiltrated with a variety of waxes and high performance resins to enhance strength, improve temperature resistance and increase durability of the materials.
Tank size: 200mm x 200mm x 250mm (parts can be joined if required) Resolution: 0.1mm.
Preferred file type: STL. Other possible file types: BLD, STL, PLY, VRML, DXF, DWG, IGES, 3DS, ai, EPS
digital timing and electronic equipment
If your installation or display requires rotation, movement accuracy and synchronisation then we can bring your idea to reality with our electronic engineering know-how.
Our rotation equipment may enhance your display or installation and depending on your specification, can support either light weight or heavier weighted items.
Examples of use include an artist’s glass sculptures rotating continuously at one revolution per minute on a glass display case.
on-site computer aided design and manufacture
Our highly skilled team can offer a wealth of computer and electronic engineering, CAD and manufacturing skills for your art or design project. As part of our service we can also provide CNC laser cutting and milling, 3D modelling and rendering.
